BESCA is the certification arm of the BESA group. Acting as an independent UKAS accredited body, it strives to help businesses meet industry standards, promoting technical excellence in the building services sector.
From March 2017, BESCA will be delivering Building Regulation updates online via their new e-learning course, aimed at those operating within the mechanical sector.
Russell Mott, Head of Technical Services for BESCA describes the course as a vital resource “Our course offers engineers the perfect resource to update themselves on the core changes to the Building Regulations. It is vital that installers maintain their CPD and our course offers an efficient and practical way to do so”.
The course which includes a final examination will be available from March 2017, costing £95+ VAT.
Contact the BESCA Helpdesk on 0800 6525533 or email info@besca.org.uk for further information or to register your interest/reserve your place today.
On successful completion of the e-learning course applicants are also eligible to join the BESCA Competent Person Scheme which provides significant cost savings.
The Competent Person Scheme qualifies members to notify ‘controlled works’ meaning they can self-certify completed works to meet the requirements of the Building Regulations without having to contact the Local Authority. The scheme generates a Building Regulation compliance certificate for the client and is supported with an insurance backed guarantee for light commercial and domestic works.
BESCA’s Competent Person Scheme offers a full scope of works to be notified to the Local Authority Building Control (LABC) covering:
Plumbing
Oil
Solid fuel
Heating and Hot water
Ventilation and air conditioning
